42nd Annual JCI St. Catharines' Mayor's Invitational Grape Stomp

Sep 09 2015

Mayor Jeffs will be participating in the 42nd Annual JCI St. Catharines’ Mayor’s Invitational Grape Stomp! Niagara’s Mayors will be working together to raise awareness about poverty and support local food banks by collecting non-perishable food items from September 1 – 18.

Then on Saturday September 19 at 12 p.m. at Montebello Park in St. Catharines, the Mayors will take to the grape barrels for the traditional stomping of the grapes and compete to make the most grape juice. The volume of stomped grape juice plus the total volume of donations will determine the winner of this year’s Mayor’s Grape Stomp.

Mayor Jeffs will be supporting the Wainfleet Volunteer Firefighters Christmas Basket Program. Donations will be accepted at the Township Municipal Office during regular business hours.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the challenge and help stomp out poverty and hunger in Niagara. Get the latest updates from the Mayors by following @stomppoverty on Twitter and come out for the competition on Grape Stomp day!
