TOWNSHIP OF WAINFLEET 2018 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

ARE YOU ON THE VOTERS LIST?

The Township of Wainfleet's municipal and school board elections take place on October 22, 2018.  If you are a resident, owner or tenant of land in the Township, a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age, you can vote in our municipal and school board elections.

You can check now at our Voters' List inquiry page  to confirm that you are registered to vote in the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election.

If you find that you are not on the Voters' List, you can visit our Voter Registration page to begin the process of getting yourself added to the list.

To ensure that you receive your Vote-by-Mail Ballot Kit in plenty of time before Voting Day, please check and ensure that you are on the Voters' List by September 13, 2018.  Only Voters who are registered on the list will receive a Vote-by-Mail kit. 

The Township is asking residents to verify they are on the Voters’ List by September 13, 2018. After this deadline, voters can still have their names added to the list, but they will need to pick up their Vote-by-Mail kit in person.

VOTE BY MAIL

As in the 2014 Municipal Election, the 2018 Township of Wainfleet Elections will be conducted by Mail-In Ballots. There will be no Advance Polls. Voter Kits will be mailed to all eligible electors as contained on the Voters’ List starting on Monday, September 24, 2018.

In order to ensure that ballots are returned in time to be counted on Voting Day, electors are asked to please place completed Voter Kits in the return mail by Thursday, October 11, 2018. Alternatively, completed Voter Kits may be personally delivered directly to the Township Offices anytime the offices are open (8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday) or in the after-hours mail drop box.  On Voting Day (Monday, October 22, 2018) only, ballots may also be returned to the Moore Room in the Wainfleet Arena, 31917 Park Street, until the close of voting at 8:00 pm.

If you are eligible to vote and have not received a Voters’ Kit in the mail by Wednesday, October 3, 2018, please contact the Clerk’s Department or visit the Township Offices to confirm that you are on the Voters’ List.
