There are three ways you can still get your vote in:
1. Drop off your completed ballot kit at the Township office from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Thursday or Friday;
2. Drop off your completed ballot kit in our after hours drop box to the right of the Township main office doors any time this weekend;
3. Bring your completed ballot kit to the Moore Room at the Wainfleet Arena on Monday, Oct. 27th from 10 am to 8 pm. PLEASE BRING YOUR BALLOT KIT WITH YOU even if you are coming to the poll on Monday. There will be a limited number of blank ballot kits available Monday. We do expect a large number of voters on Election Day, so please be prepared for increased wait times. Eligible electors can still REGISTER and vote at the Township office during regular business hours, Thursday and Friday, or at the Moore Room on Monday from 10 am to 8 pm.

CANCELLED - October 28th Council Meeting

The Regular Meeting of Council scheduled for October 28th, 2014 has been CANCELLED.

The next Council meeting will be held on November 11th, 2014 at 7 p.m.

Notice of Revision Period - Voters List

Beginning September 2nd, 2014, the Voters' List for the Township of Wainfleet will be available for inspection at the Municipal Office during regular business hours. Click here for more information.


OMB Approves New Township Official Plan!

The Ontario Municipal Board approved, in part, the new Township Official Plan on August 14, 2014.

  • - All text is approved.
  • - Mapping is partially approved, with the following items deferred until at least fall 2014:
  1. oHamlet Boundaries (Schedules B1 – B8)
  2. oPopulation forecasts
  3. oPrivate properties under appeal

Private Well Monitoring Program

The Township of Wainfleet is currently seeking volunteers to participate in a Private Well Monitoring Program that was approved and will be implemented by Township staff. This program is meant to be a follow up monitoring project to assess the impacts of fixing and replacing the failing septic systems have on Wainfleet’s groundwater resources. Everyone is welcome to attend the open else being held on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at Town hall located at 31940 Hwy 3 Wainfleet, Ontario. 

The meeting will be held at 7:00PM.  Mr. Imhoff has also cleared his schedule all day Wednesday for walk-ins to answer any questions if you cannot make the meeting.
