Airport |
The municipalities of Pelham, Port Colborne, Welland and Wainfleet own the Niagara Central Dorothy Rungeling Airport. It is located in the Town of Pelham. A Commission including members from each municipality operates the airport. Council has appointed Councillor John MacLellan to represent the Township of Wainfleet for the current term of Council. |
Campgrounds |
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) offers summer camping the public at two conservation parks, located at Long Beach and Chippawa Creek. Please contact the NPCA for more information. |
Cycling |
The Niagara Cycling Tourism Centre website provides resources such as bike routes and trip planning as well as information regarding the location of bike rental and repair shops, parking and public washrooms. Fishing and Hunting |
FishingFind great fishing spots along Wainfleet's Lake Erie shoreline with variety of species. Some of these spots include fishing off Sugar Loaf Hill, Long Beach, Rathfon Point and Morgan's Point. Contact the Ministry of Natural Resources for information about fishing seasons and fishing licenses. Fishing is also available at the Chippawa Creek Conservation Park; run by the NPCA. Ministry regulations also apply on NPCA property. HuntingThe Township permits hunting on private lands in accordance with Federal and Provincial regulations and our Discharge of Guns and Firearms By-law. The NPCA also offers hunting permits in some conservation areas. |
