Wainfleet Prepares for Omicron Impacts
As experts predict surging COVID-19 cases over the coming weeks, the Township of Wainfleet advises that new measures will be instituted effective January 4, 2022 to try and protect residents and staff and ensure the continued provision of services to the public.
Effective January 4, 2022, administration will step back to a two-shift model at Town Hall - with staff working both remotely and in the office to ensure continuity of service to residents. As a result of this step back, the municipal offices will be open to the public by appointment only. During this time, the public is encouraged to conduct their business with the Township online or by phone.
Drinking water quality testing drop off services will be also be temporarily suspended at this time.
The Township is hopeful that the step-back will be short-lived - and we will be continuing to monitor circumstances and respond accordingly.
