2022 Drainage Program Open House

The Township of Wainfleet will be holding its Annual Drainage Program Open House to provide Wainfleet residents with information related to municipal drains and their scheduled maintenance in 2022. Township staff will be on site to answer questions about the scheduled maintenance.
Also featuring staff from the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, presenting on the Big Forks Creek and Beaver Creek Flood Plain Mapping Project.

Wainfleet Council passed its 2022 municipal budget at a special meeting held on March 22, 2022.
With previous budgets aimed at tackling debt management and an ever widening infrastructure gap faced by many Ontario municipalities, Council has positioned itself well to meet the Township’s budgetary needs while keeping rates lower than in past years.

Effective Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 12:01 am, Niagara's municipalities are officially ending the municipal States of Emergency that have been in place since April 3, 2020.

As experts predict surging COVID-19 cases over the coming weeks, the Township of Wainfleet advises that new measures will be instituted effective January 4, 2022 to try and protect residents and staff and ensure the continued provision of services to the public.
