Resident Parking Permit

Please complete this form to apply for a Resident Parking Permit. A permit will expire on December 31st of the year in which it was issued. Up to four licence plates will be allowed for each household. Vehicles must be registered to the same address as you are applying for. 

Please note: a permit does not guarantee a parking space. Permits are available to Township of Wainfleet residents only and are only valid in areas designated and signed as "No Parking Except by Permit".

A permit does not authorize residents to park in areas designated as "No Parking", "No Stopping" or "Emergency Route".  

Personal information, as defined in the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, and in accordance with MFIPPA, for the purpose of administering parking permit services. Inquires about the MFIPPA or the collection, use, and disclosure of this personal information may be directed to the Clerk's Department.

Vehicle Information

All vehicles must be registered to the above address with a maximum of four licence plates permitted. You are required to provide a copy of the vehicle ownership for each vehicle you wish to obtain a permit for.

Application Finalization

Important information:

1. The Resident Parking Permit is only valid:   

  • When displayed in the vehicle bearing the plate it is issued to   
  • For the specific period it has been issued
  • If the permit is clearly visible and attached to the inside, bottom of the windshield on the driver's side

2. The permit does not reserve or guarantee a parking space.

3. The permit does not relieve the holder from observing all other provisions of the Highway Traffic Act or Municipal By-laws.

4. Any vehicle found in violation will be subject to a monetary penalty and/or towing at the owner’s expense, without notice.

5. The Township reserves the right to cancel the privilege granted under this permit at any time without prior notice.

6. The Township assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents to fire, theft, collision, or any other cause.
