Development charges are collected to help pay the cost of infrastructure required to provide municipal services for new development such as roads, fire protection, indoor and outdoor recreation services, library and administrative services.
In the Township of Wainfleet, there are three applicable development charges - Township of Wainfleet development charges, Region of Niagara development charges and school board development charges. The Building Department will calculate the development charges applicable to your project and notify you of the amount due. Development charges are due upon issuance of a building permit.
